Reward Pool

Reward Pool is one of the key mechanics of PlayPHIL. It allows players not only to play, but also to earn while playing. Let's take a look at how it works.

As mentioned in one of the previous chapters, each of the games on the platform chooses goals to be rewarded. Specific goals can be very different and depend only on the desire of the developers. But for every in-game goal the player completes during the week, they will be rewarded with PlayPHIL XP points. The amount of XP points gained is determined by the size of the XP pool available to the game and the number of players who complete the goal. So, the most difficult goals will be rewarded better, since the number of players who reach them will certainly be less.

Every week all the players who earn XP points will be rewarded through the distribution of the Rewards Pool. The reward will be determined by:

  • the number of XP points collected this week

  • the player’s PlayPHIL level, which can also be increased by collecting XP points (but the level does not reset every week)

  • the multiplier from NFT owned by the player, the rare the NFT the better multiplayer it provides

After the weekly distribution the Reward Pool will be replenished in preparation for next week.As we mentioned in the previous chapter, the sources of replenishment are:

  • share of all in-game purchases made by players in the last week on the platform

  • the platform token emission

Along with the replenishment of the Reward Pool, the numbers of XP-points available for distribution by games next week are also recalculated. Games with the most purchases done get more XP-points for the next week making them more profitable to achieve goals in.

So, building the right strategy for choosing games to play and succeed becomes quite a complex and interesting quest, making the whole platform work like a play2earn game.
